Since everybody are talking about how women aren’t treated right and there should be no differences between the genders. And I agree 100%.
But this time I’m going to write about something important as well. The stereotypes about men.
You maybe heard that there are more suicide-cases by men, and I’m not surprised. A man is expected to be strong, if you’re a man you should be the one that take care of the family when the father leaves the family. As a man you shouldn’t cry about things, if you do that, it should be discreet. When you’re actually feeling bad and you need someone to comfort you, there are no one who expecting you to feel bad. I don’t mean that this is the case in all families but in some families. Especially fathers are expected to be strong and they can’t talk to anyone because they may be afraid about the reactions.
That’s why some men are committing suicide, they can’t have all the negative feelings for them selves, so they can’t handle it anymore. So please, man or women… when you don’t feel good, when you’re too sad to enjoy the tiny positive things in life you should ask for help. We all are human, we all have feelings and it’s okay to feel miserable, no matter what.
